Cocktails in the City: Summer Edition, Bedford Square Gardens

Fancy sipping the concoctions served at 20 of London's best bars? Without having to travel across the city to try them? Of course you do. Cocktails in the City is the mixology highlight of the summer calendar and usually it's all over much too quickly. But following the example set in 2021, the event is returning for three weekends this summer, in July, August and September. The line-up is as deliciously intoxicating as ever, with a fresh roster of bars arriving in pop-up form each weekend to deliver their own special takes on al fresco drinking and show-stopping cocktails.

Meet the bartenders at the top of their game and look on as experienced mixologists muddle together ingredients to create liquid delights, all against the beautiful backdrop of Bedford Square Gardens.

Each weekend comes branded with a different theme. First up, Innovation and Discovery (Thursday 7 to Saturday 9 July) is all about championing the pioneering pours found in London's bar scene, bringing together leading mixologists from: Coupette, Disrepute, Bourne & Hollingsworth and Homeboy bars to show off their talents.

International Edition (Thursday 11 to Saturday 13 August) is the worldly arm of the event and a chance to introduce your palate to global flavours and unusual delicacies from the likes of tiki-themed Laki Kane, tropical hotspot Trader Vic's and Mexican favourite Café Pacifico, as well as hotel bars Fitz's and Silverleaf.

Last but not least, from Thursday 8 to Saturday 10 September, is Festival of Drinks. As with all good festivals, there will be live music (courtesy of One Night Records) and sizzling street food, but here the main focus is, of course, the drinks. So forget visions of warm cider and sugary canned drinks, and instead look forward to interactive experiences including ice carving, plus signature serves from the London Cocktail Club, Funkidory, London Shuffle Club and Callooh Callay.
