Inside the new The Shop at Bluebird, Covent Garden
Covent Garden is getting crowded. The Shop at Bluebird, a stalwart of Kings Road for twelve years, has stretched its wings and settled in Central London with an extraordinary new 15,000 ft store.
The new flagship comes is housed in a 19th century Grade II listed carriage hall on Floral Street, set over three galleried floors and designed around a central, hidden courtyard. The space is already puckered up with fashion credentials having previously housed many-a-runway show during LFW.
This summer, a restaurant and roof terrace will open (stand by for news on the chef and the concept) and Blink Brow Bar, Fornasetti and the Avery Perfume Gallery all have dedicated spaces open in the store.
Flick through the gallery below for a peek into how the new flagship is single-handedly regenerating Floral Street's reputation as the go-to destination for chic, well-heeled Londoners:
A wall of curious and wonderful artworks features on the first floor, curated exclusively by William Ling of the Fashion Illustration Gallery.
