Rejina Pyo Vestiaire Collective archive sale
London fashion designer Rejina Pyo partners with Vestiaire Collective for a sale of 50 archive pieces
Digital sample sales, Instagram vintage sellers and the booming recommerce market have all changed our relationship with traditional retailers and encourage a changing of focus from the endless churn of the new.
And there are new developments all the time. Take the latest partnership between much-loved London designer Rejina Pyo and fashion resale site Vestiaire Collective.
Boasting the spoils of a sample sale (past season pieces at deep discounts) without the pressure of a timed entry system, the Rejina Pyo x Vestiaire Collective archive sale is an extremely tempting proposition.
The archive sale is made up of 50 past-season pieces, and includes some of Pyo's biggest hits.
The puff-sleeved poplin Greta dress, the sunshine-yellow Jamie dress, the Nane bag inspired by Korean gift-wrapping and the sculpted heels that have been spotted on many a fashion week front row are all present and correct, albeit in limited sizing.
'Luxury resale is a sustainable model I truly believe in,' says Pyo of the partnership.
'We encourage our customers to sell on Vestiaire should they wish to eventually part with their pieces and, in return, someone new may love them. It is also a great resource to find archive pieces you have been coveting for a long time, or exclusive pricing that fits your budget.'
Pricing is key to success in the resale market, and these pieces have been pitched competitively: the most expensive item is a leather trench coat with a price tag of £350 while £150 would secure you a handbag from the collection.
As the designer of some of the most dreamy dresses and quirky yet classic accessories, Pyo has built a loyal following among art-loving and empowered women so this sale of limited pieces is sure to generate some serious buzz.
