The world has gone trainer mad. It was once fashionable to don the latest skyscraper heels, now we are all once again flat to the ground, feeling extremely comfortable in our sturdy sneakers. At the forefront of this transition is none other than fashion's man-of-the-minute, Raf Simons.
The ex-creative director at Dior - who has just recently moved overseas to head New York-based brand Calvin Klein - was responsible for the pastel-coloured trainers that dominated street style looks worldwide. Having been spotted on celebrities too - Gwyneth Paltrow, Nick Jonas and Kendall Jenner - the statement trainers have been a favourite for many.
In wake of such success, it's no surprise the designer is launching another line of equally instagram-able sneakers. The line-up includes teal coloured leather trainers with orange soles and black velcro straps and a pair of bright red shiny lace-ups. All of the leather designs are accompanied by his signature perforated 'R', obviously.
Canvas trainers, reminiscent of 80s basketball wear, are also in amongst the line-up. These styles are typically more classic, block-coloured shoes with a contrasting coloured logo and laces.
The range was initially unveiled at Paris Men's Fashion Week earlier this year, so after much anticipation it is finally set to go on sale to the public later this summer. The collection will start at £225.
