Henri Lloyd: sample sales central London
Spring has finally arrived. It’s time to lug your heavy woolen coats back into the wardrobe and get yourself something sporting and light to match clear blue skies and, if you’re lucky, the deep blue of the open water during weekend mini-breaks.
But even if you’re not off to Lake Windermere at the weekend, those with an eye for a nautical aesthetic will be pleased to hear that British brand Henri Lloyd is holding a sample sale, offering up menswear, womenswear and accessories at discount prices.
Henri Lloyd London
Henri Lloyd was established in Manchester in 1963 by Angus Lloyd and Henri Strzelecki. Mr Henri, or ‘Waterproof Henry’ as Strzelecki was known, helped Henri Lloyd pioneer the use of new technologies including the first non-corrosive zipper made of nylon.
Original Henry Lloyd Black Label products were combinations of functional features and visually stimulating fabrications - but today the Henri Lloyd Back Label, that was developed in the mid 1990’s as a small collection embracing clean line and fine detail, is renown for its urban appeal and popularity with fashionistas and celebrities including the band Oasis.
In 2013, Henri Lloyd relaunched Black Label and drew inspiration from the mid 1990’s collection, using performance inspired fabrics and features including drainage channels, seam taping and signature throat tabs to embrace the original Black Label mantra ‘Same Planet, Another World.’
