A child discovered in a dark cave turns out to be half-human half-bat, cattle are dying inexplicably, and a whole town is on the warpath – this is the stuff that cult hit Bat Boy: The Musical is made of.
Director and costume designer team Luke Fredericks and Steward Charlesworth were behind this June's acclaimed production of Carousel at the Arcola Theatre.
The casting for the title role is yet to be announced, but the names already on board are strong ones; Olivier nominated Matthew White will play Dr Parker, whilst Matilda the Musical’s original Miss Honey (and Tony nominee) Lauren Ward will play the Doctor’s wife Meredith.
We are very excited for Bat Boy: The Musical’s return to London, ten years after its UK premier. Funny, dark and more than a little bit bonkers, this is one to get your teeth into.
