Midcentury Modern returns to the big smoke this autumn, providing yet another great opportunity to scout out modernist furniture for your home.
This time, the event will take place in the Grade II listed Haggerston School in east London. Designed by celebrated modernist architect, Erno Goldfinger, it makes for the perfect backdrop to the event, which doubles up as a rare opportunity to see inside this working school that encloses some of Goldfinger’s boldest interior designs.
Goldfinger was actually the inspiration behind the Bond character of the same name, and so it's fitting that Metro Retro, which helps to furnish Bond film sets, will be exhibiting at the event. Other stallholders to look out for include Scandinavian by Design, The Modern Warehouse and Twentieth Century Antiques.
Midcentury Modern gathers together Europe’s best dealers in modernist furniture, as well as wallpaper, glass, ceramics, soft furnishings and home accessories, and is a must-do for anyone with a taste for midcentury design.
