Our favourite 'Bloomsbury Boys', Mark Welford & Stephen Wicks, set up Bloomsbury Flowers in Covent Garden back in 1994. With a new shop now in Ham Yard Village, these ex ballet dancers from The Royal Ballet really know how to craft dramatic and unusual arrangements. There is certainly nothing ordinary about these bouquets of scented bergamot and rosemary, shiny evergreens and gorgeous blooms of lilies, roses, peonies and summer peas.
Ham Yard Village florist
Over in Soho, the Ham Yard Village outpost of Bloomsbury Flowers is known as the only place to find bespoke bouquets, hand tied bunches and seasonal flowers like succulents and orchids. With a friendly greeting from a dedicated florist, Ham Yard Village is a favourite amongst Soho regulars. And for brides to be, Mark & Stephen are wizards with their arrangements, crafting ravishing themes of nautical, bohemian, rustic and metropolitan blooms.
For flowers in central London there is no one quite as daring as Welford & Wicks who blend French classical flowers and edgy London attitude with showbiz panache.
