Entitled Resolution Replay, the programme brings together four of the very best new choreographers, whose work was first shown in the Resolution festival this past winter.
These four, though, are good.
Elinor Lewis & Nuria Legarda Andueza present Orchard, a work essentially about risk, where a forest of vertically balanced poles vulnerable to the lightest touch provide the unstable set for the two performers’ skilled meanderings.
Pierre & Baby, aka. Peter Babbage and Luke Bafico, are the creators of, and performers in Achilles – a challenging, very original and highly erotic exploration of what the authors call ‘queer experiences’, and the damaging effects of dating apps on users’ emotional well-being.
In Ripe Tilly Lee-Kronick bring us a surreal exploration of our assumptions towards female performers – a work which, in the words of one critic, ‘fizzes with fun and fresh ideas.’
Last but not least, Shannelle ‘Tali’ Fergus presents Mum.Edit.More, a poignant audio-visual journey through the human voice, the starting point of which is Solange Knowles’ A Seat at the Table.
It’s an enticing programme, with quality guaranteed and it is well worth viewing.
