This is an unmissable work from one of the most exacting and glorious choreographers on the British dance scene. Royal Ballet trained Clark was a mesmerising classical dancer; enthused by the punk movement of the late 70s and 80s he created his own language using classical ballet as a basis but dressing it in all of punk’s iconoclasm and irreverence. In doing so, he brought a new vitality to dance.
As the decades went on, Clark’s style evolved into a unique language, which continues to feed on popular culture but still requires impeccable technique.
