The programme concentrates on cutting edge dance, and includes some of Culture Whisper’s favourites. So, the Flemish Moroccan choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, a Sadler’s Wells Associate Artist, will be present with two of this most exciting works: the ever-popular Sutra, starring the irrepressible Shaolin monks, premieres on Marquee.TV on 5 October; Fractus V shows on 11 October.
Finnish choreographer Tero Saarinen’s company, recently seen at London’s Southbank Centre, comes to Marquee.TV on 18 October with Borrowed Light.

And to mark World Ballet Day, In the Spirit of Diaghilev becomes available on 2 October. This is a four piece programme, with works by Wayne McGregor, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Russell Maliphant and Javier de Frutos. You may have seen the whole programme at Sadler’s Wells a few years back, or a censored version (excising the shocking de Frutos piece) Eternal Damnation to Sancho and Sanchez, on the BBC. You can watch the whole programme here, but send the kids to bed first.
Among other highlights, there’s a new opportunity to watch, Sacred Monsters (10 November), the extraordinary collaboration between two greats: the unique ballerina Sylvia Guillem, sadly now retired, and dancer and choreographer Akram Kahn, himself in the process of retiring from performance.
It would be impossible to list the entire programme, but you can find all details here.
Marquee.TV is available in the UK on iOS and Android, Apple TV, Amazon Fire and Smart TVs for £8.99 (with a free trial period)
