The Royal Ballet: The Nutcracker, Royal Opera House

The Royal Ballet kicks off The Nutcracker season with its unsurpassable Peter Wright production of this most Christmassy of tales, with its glorious Tchaikovsky score

English National Ballet, Nutcracker, London Coliseum

Not to be outdone, English National Ballet brings its own version of Nutcracker (dropping the definite article) to the Coliseum, in a production by its former Artistic Director, Wayne Eagling.

Birmingham Royal Ballet, The Nutcracker, Royal Albert Hall

The Nutcracker season closes with Birmingham Royal Ballet's interpretation of the Peter Wright production, which manages to overcome all the handicaps of the cavernous Royal Albert Hall. Go, but don't buy Arena seats.
