Body Concert, Ambiguous Dance Company, Coronet Theatre

Ambiguous Dance Company became famous internationally through its collaboration with mega pop band Coldplay in the video for the song Higher Power; and UK audiences became familiar with the group through an appearance in hologram form at the BRIT Awards.

Now, though, London gets a chance to see this multi-award winning South Korean sensation live, when it brings its show Body Concert to the Coronet Theatre as part of an extensive festival of South Korean arts, under the umbrella title, Tiger Is Coming.

Structured as a concert, the show is made up of 11 sequences showcasing a large variety of dance styles, with one thing in common: all are pulsating and exciting.

Founded in 2008 by choreographer Boram Kim and dancer Kyeongmin Jang, both of whom perform in Body Concert alongside five other dancers, Ambiguous Dance Company is so named because its style deliberately defies neat pigeonholing. Its stated aim is 'to pursue communication through dance' illustrating Boram Kim's conviction that true language is not verbal, rather it is the language of the body.
