Beautified and more comfortable, two premier concert venues reopen with a new look and a celebratory month of music. We pick the best concerts:
Chineke! Orchestra, under Anthony Parnther, with Roderick Williams (baritone) re-open the Queen Elizabeth Hall with the world premiere of a new commission by Daniel Kidane based on Martin Luther King’s 'I have a dream' speech, to mark the 50th anniversary of his assassination. The concert also features works by Britten and Beethoven.
