If you your cinema surrealist, à la Amelie, and humour with a cartoonish bent, don't miss the special showing of 9 Month Stretch on 28 April, or the accompanying Q&A with the director, along with Terry Gilliam, who plays the film's villain.
This new film from second-time-director Albert Dupontel tells the fantastical story of a young lawyer, who falls pregnant unexpectedly, and employing the help of her colleagues finds out that the father of her child is a buffoonish villain known as the ‘eye-gobbler’. This will be a wonderful opportunity for fans of French cinema to quiz an up-and-comer before he hits it too big, and for anyone interested in the technical side of production to find out how Dupontel realised this impressive visual feast.
