Evolution takes place on a remote island inhabited solely by women and young boys. When the boys are all given a mysterious medical treatment, Nicolas is the only boy to question why. The film follows Nicolas as he tries to unravel the mysteries of the island.
It looks set to be an intriguing exploration of childhood and science, with Hadžihalilović's typically elegant touch.
