Jesus (pronounced hey-zeus) might seem an odd choice to lead in a Big Lebowski spin-off, or indeed in any kind of film. An oily purple-clad sex offender who licks bowling balls, he's unlikely to be getting his own Disney franchise any time soon. But Tuturro's performance is great, and the character has long been a fan favourite (although Going Places looks like it could be so niche and cult that it makes The Big Lebowski look like Frozen).
Turturro is behind the camera as well as in front of it, so we're keen to see if he can do as good a job without the Coen Brothers directing: they also directed him in Millers' Crossing, another great film in which Turturro plays an absolute creep.
