If the back-to-back parties and last minute shopping of the Christmas rush is all getting a bit much, why not indulge yourself with a mid-week Latin American feast? Pisco Fuego’s 10-course menu, complete with a choice of cocktails, wines and beers, is the perfect antidote to the cliche domestic festivities.
Bringing you classic Latin American dishes including tamales and empanadas to start, chef and co-organiser Ian Ballantyne will then treat guests to an asado. That’s a style of Argentinian barbeque cooking, and you’ll get to sample a host of mouth-watering marinated meats and fish straight from the grill. Then Ballantyne will round everything off with a serving of tres leches cake and popcorn ice cream, followed by Alfajores cinnamon shortbread cookies.
Whether you choose to accompany your meal with an Argentinian mojito (which uses cinnamon-infused rum) or a crisp and cool caiprinha, we’re convinced your taste buds will be zinging with Latin flavours.
The whole event has been inspired by the buzzing nightlife of Buenos Aries, Santiago and Lima, and will feature live acoustic guitar music. Ballantyne is the man behind the immensely successful Candlestick Maker London supper club and the recent School Dinners events, so we’re sure you’ll get a night to remember.
