Bobbi Brown's Evolution 18 Supplement range lands in the UK
We talk to cosmetics guru and health coach Bobbi Brown on her new wellness brand, Evolution 18, and how to boost your inner health and outer beauty

We've been obsessed with the Bobbi Brown make-up line since it launched in 1991. Now, as a certified health coach, the cosmetics guru talks to us about her new wellness range, Evolution 18, that's just landed in Boots, which is surprisingly affordable and offers beauty on the inside and out.
Culture Whisper: Tell us about Evolution 18...
Bobbi Brown: 'People are realising that health and wellness are not frivolous; everybody needs to take care of themselves.
'I named the brand Evolution 18 because health and wellness and beauty are always evolving. There is a direct effect: by improving your health, it impacts your skin and overall beauty. Eighteen is the address of my content studio and also means life in Hebrew.'
CW: Wellness products are usually expensive: how do you keep costs down without losing efficacy?
BB: 'I chose to work with the leading manufacturer of supplements because they have top-notch chemists, scientist and product developers on staff.
'The ingredients and finished products are intensely researched, tested and tweaked to make sure that they were of the highest calibre.
'As a certified health coach, I know what women are looking for, and I created the best possible products for both myself and my customer.
'I insist on the highest-quality ingredients, but instead of over-complicating the formulas, I have simplified the products, to address a specific beauty/lifestyle concern.
'I keep marketing, packaging and business costs down for the same reason so that we can offer the best prices for our customers.'
CW: How long do you need to give supplements before they yield any noticeable results?
BB: 'It is entirely dependent on which supplement you are taking. Some work in as few as five to 10 days, while others have clinical claims behind 90 days of use. Everyone's body is different, and how each person will react to the supplement varies.'
CW: What are the most significant game-changers when it comes to achieving a healthier visage and body?
BB: 'Drinking more water, using your intake of plant-based food, wearing a sunscreen, applying a great moisturiser, taking a probiotic, mixing collagen into your smoothies, and for your face – laser treatments.'
CW: Should you employ a specific schedule when taking supplements for efficacy?
BB: 'Most of my Evolutiuon 18 products can be taken at any time of day. I personally love taking my Collagen Powder in breakfast, mixed in with some Greek yogurt. However, depending on the ingredients in certain products, you may want to take them at specific times. For instance, if a product contains green tea, I'd recommend using it in the morning or afternoon. If it contains magnesium, I'd take it before bed as it relaxes you.'
CW: Any ‘hero’ ingredients you'd like to talk about?
