The best mobile beauty services in London
Meet the tried-and-tested mobile beauty therapists in London delivering TLC to your office, home or hotel
If attempting public transport feels as terrifying as heading into a war zone; or you're feeling well, but having to self-isolate anyway, you could take advantage of this extra time by primping and preening at home.
We talk to Zoe Greenwood, marketing executive for Le Salon, the on-demand beauty brand, to give us the lowdown on the steps they're taking to ensure the health and safety of their patrons and therapists.
Zoe Greenwood: 'We understand many people are wary of going to a salon. Going to a salon (over having a mobile beauty therapist come to you) obviously brings with it a lot of unknowns. There are other consequences of having to leave your house, possibly travelling and entering a building that many people have frequented. With mobile beauty, you only have one therapist that comes to you.
'Plus, we are vigilantly following all public health guidelines to ensure that we're doing everything in our power to keep the clients and therapists safe.'
Culture Whisper: 'What exactly are the steps in place to keep both therapists and clients safe?'
ZG: 'Every therapist working is 100% symptom-free and feeling well and we are monitoring all our therapists to ensure that they haven't recently visited any of the Category 1 locations or come into contact with anyone that could have been infected. If a therapist is experiencing any symptoms, we will either cancel or reallocate your booking to another therapist. We check in frequently with them to see how they're feeling and if they're experiencing any symptoms.
CW: 'What about hygiene practices?'
ZG: 'We're taking extra measures for hygiene. As always, we expect all of our therapists to carry out exceptional hygiene practices when working on our platform; however, we have asked anyone working on the platform to take extra measures. These include: washing their hands before and after every treatment for at least 20 seconds, wearing gloves and masks during treatments and disinfecting all equipment thoroughly before and after use.'
So if you are in the mood for pampering – it seems we still can in the capital, for now anyway.
Looking for a premium salon service at home? Try: Le Salon

A Salonette (aka therapist) will come to you in the am, pm, at weekends or during public holidays. They use recognised brands like OPI and CND and offer unisex treatment options for nails, waxing and lashes. Our therapist turned up on time, was ultra-efficient but friendly, and worked effortlessly. Plus they've just launched a new tanning service: there are two options: a standard spray tan (£45) or a Vita Liberata spray tan (£50). Vita Liberata is vegan-friendly, organic, loved by dermatologists, and full of anti-ageing ingredients for an even and natural colour.
