Whitechapel Gallery brings together a group of top artists and architects to imagine solutions to the problems we might face in the future. Is This Tomorrow will present a diverse range of international visionaries brought together to explore issues of migration, privacy, living space and our evolving relationship with technology.

Among those commissioned by Whitechapel Gallery are renowned architects 6a, who recently redesigned MK Gallery in Milton Keynes and award winning architect Sir David Adjaye RA, whose CV includes the Smithsonian Institute National Museum of African American History and Culture.

The exhibition is arranged like a maze throughout the gallery’s rooms, the first exploring our relationship with animals and how this might change with modified living spaces. There are also areas that encourage moments of solitude and reflection, whilst artists Farshid Moussavi and Zineb Sedira consider the architecture of borders in a future that places increased emphasis on boundaries. Even the gallery of the future is explored here. Look out for the miniature museum designed to house Leonardo da Vinci's Salvatore Mundi as conceived by David Kohn Architects and Simon Fujiwara.
