London Transport Museum: Friday Lates

On February 12, The London Transport Museum is offering up a feast for the senses at its Friday Late events.

London Transport Museum: Friday Lates
There’s nothing quite as evocative as scent and taste; nothing like fragrance or flavour to transport you back to a long-forgotten time. Discover the joys of sensory history for yourself as you embark on a tour of London in the Twentieth Century, tasting the drinks and sampling the perfumes that defined eras from the Belle Époque to the 1970s. Hosting The Scent and Spirit of London are Odette Toilette, Scratch + Sniff maestro, a self-proclaimed purveyor of olfactory adventures, and Alice Lascelles, a journalist and a leading connoisseur of liquor.

Illuminate runs on the same night, taking its inspiration from the museum’s current exhibition Night Shift. Expect an evening of visual wonderment and a program of enlightening talks. Join artist Lola Lely for a cyanotype light printing workshop, take a shadow life drawing class, or hear photographer Derek Ridgers on his documentation of London’s nightlife. Enjoy all of this while sipping on some of the museum’s finest neon cocktails: the perfect accompaniment to a dazzling evening.
