Hilton Als writer & curator in London
Hot off the success of the Visionary Series at New York’s New Museum, Hilton Als arrives in London to show off Victoria Miro Gallery’s top artists. Hilton Als – The New Yorker’s theatre critic and author of The Women and White Girls – contributed to the gallery’s Celia Paul solo show last summer and now he's back in London to lead his own exhibition.
Victoria Miro Exhibition London
The line-up for Als’s debut show is an impressive collection of artistic riches from around the world. Nigerian Njideka Akunyili Crosby’s complex compositions hang beside Israeli painter Tal R’s canvases and the work of the 1998 Turner Prize winner Chris Ofili.
You'll also want to grab the opportunity to see the exceptional photography of American Francesca Woodman, a prolific artist before her untimely death at 22. Victoria Miro Gallery is one of the few venues displaying Woodman’s work outside of the United States.
