Scottish culture lovers will enjoy this new collaboration between the Fleming-Wyfold Foundation and Royal Scottish Academy in Edinburgh which showcases some of the most exciting emerging Scottish artists today. This year, 19 recent art school graduates featured in the RSA: New Contemporaries show make the journey down to London to spotlight the very best in Scottish talent.
Best Scottish artists to see
Our favourites in the Fleming Collection of Scottish Art exhibition must include Charlotte Nash's surreal pink expanding foam sculptures, which are bonkers and brilliant. Don't miss Seamus Killick's curious paintings taken from VHS cassettes and Caitlin Hynes's colourful patchwork textiles. You'll also enjoy the simplicity of Glenfiddich Residency Prize winner Ben Martin.
Make sure you spend time with the 2015 Fleming-Wyfold Bursary winner Edward Humphrey and his meditative two screen film installation, Another Fiction. There's also a chance to see last year's winner, the Brownlee Brothers who have created a site-specific work specially for the London Fleming Collection
Contemporary art lovers looking for the next big thing will enjoy discovering new talent at the Fleming Collection this spring.
