Horst P. Horst's protégé Cathleen Naundorf combines her love of high fashion and striking photography in a new show at Hamiltons Gallery in Mayfair, where taxidermy animals and gorgeous haute couture pieces run wild.
Cathleen Naundorf & Haute Couture
Parisian-based photographer Cathleen Naundorf started her career reporting the lives of indigenous people around the world. It was through the influence of Vogue photographer to the stars Horst P. Horst, that convinced her to move into fashion. Snapping her way trough Parisian fashion shows and Condé Nast publications, Naundorf is best known for her striking polaroids from Deardorff and Plaubel cameras.

In a new series of hair-raising and surreal photographs, Naundorf places stuffed creatures next to leading fashion designers of the moment like Dior, Chanel, Valentino, Gaultier and Elie Saab. Step into a strange Noah's Ark in Hamiltons Gallery with these carefully created images, which are (for once) not edited or photoshopped, but created purely through Naundorf's technique.
Mystical, timeless and radically artistic, Cathleen Naundorf is a fashion photographer with a difference.
