Brian Clarke: stained glass artist
What began as a childhood interest in the glass of gothic cathedrals in Northern England has become an international career for Brian Clarke, who has worked with some of the world’s greatest architects including Norman Foster and Zaha Hadid, and Renzo Piano. Producing work principally in Japan, USA, Brazil and Europe, Clarke is better known abroad and is more likely to get critics, collectors and gallerists excited than the general public. However, this Pace Gallery London exhibition is looks to change all that.
