The National Portrait Gallery is staging a ground-breaking London photography exhibition of Hollywood's favourite leading lady, Audrey Hepburn: including over 60 portraits, film footage, magazine editorials and luxury advertisements. What makes this show particularly special is the fact that Hepburn was first talent spotted by casting directors as a dancer at Ciro's on Orange Street, which is now the site of the National Portrait Gallery Archive.

The show follows Hepburn's early years in Amsterdam and her ballet scholarship in London, through to becoming a success on stage in the West End and her transformation into an international film star. You’ll find both photographs of Hepburn in the spotlight and more intimate images from the collection of her sons Sean Hepburn Ferrer and Luca Dotti on display, which capture Hepburn as a glittering movie actress as well as a mother and humanitarian.
