Viviane Sassen, The Photographer's Gallery
Searching for photography exhibitions London 2014? Don’t miss Viviane Sassen at the Photographer’s gallery London
Analemma: Fashion Photography 1992-2012 is the first London exhibition from Viviane Sassen, one of today’s leading figures in fashion photography. The exhibition takes the form of an immersive installation, featuring around 350 projected images that scroll across the space. These include award-winning campaigns for Stella McCartney and Adidas, and acclaimed editorial spreads for the likes of i-D and Purple.
Beginning her career in fashion design and modelling, Sassen soon turned to photography. Establishing herself as a highly creative artist, Sassen’s vision is driven by bold colours and abstract shapes, and crucially unafraid to challenge the codes and conventions of the fashion and advertising worlds. Alongside her images the exhibition offers an insight into Sassen’s instinctive and spontaneous style of working through a short stop-motion film that captures the dynamism and energy of one of her shoots.
These exhibitions are hot on our Autumn hit-list, so don’t miss out!
