As of March 17th, Amazon Prime Video members across 6 continents and 200 countries will be able to enjoy the new series You Are Wanted. Similar to how Netflix launched the highly acclaimed Narcos in Spanish, You Are Wanted is the first German Original series to be launched globally with English, French, Italian, and Spanish subtitles (and dubbing!) available.
Celebrated German actor, director, and producer Matthias Schweighöfer will be starring alongside Alexandra Maria Lara, Karoline Herfurth, and Tom Beck.
Schweighöfer plays Lukas Franke, a young hotel manager, husband, and father who is left brutally vulnerable after his personal data is hacked and digital identity manipulated. After the German Federal Criminal Office (BKA) accuse him of being a terrorist, Lukas find himself coming together with fellow victim of digital crime Lena Arandt (Herfurth) to debunk all suspicion and clear his name to both his wife (Lara) and society. Why him? Who is behind the conspiracy?
From the look of the trailer (and yes, we know it doesn't have any subtitles yet, but the real thing obviously will) You Are Wanted promises to be a kind of Night Manager-style crime drama meets Modus psychological thriller.
