Inspired by the life of former Cosmopolitan editor-in-chief Joanna Coles, The Bold Type is a new drama on Amazon Prime about young women trying to make a life for themselves as magazine interns. Think of The Devil Wear's Prada but for millennials.
Coming to Amazon Prime this February, the show follows three friends: Jane (Katie Stevens), Sutton (Meghann Fahy) and Kat (Aisha Dee) as they go about their lives at the fictional women's magazine Scarlet in New York City. Watch as they try to find their own voices, make it in a competitive and unforgiving environment, and find love, sex and hopefully a handbag to suit their outfit.
Expect lots of frills and frivolousness, lots of laughs and a commentary on the nightmare of being a young woman in New York.
