Stranger Things 4, Netflix: trailer, release date, photos, cast, plot
The hit Netflix sci-fi horror series Stranger Things comes back for another season in May. Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Winona Ryder and David Harbour are all set to return
What's the Stranger Things 4 plot?
Details have been kept under very tight wraps, but Netflix have revealed that the Russian location in the first Stranger Things 4 trailer is Kamchatka. It's a freezing wasteland, in which the Hawkins police chief Jim Hopper (David Harbour) could face enemies both human and (most probably) inter-dimensional.
Meanwhile, back in America, Eleven has moved with Will and Joyce to sunny California – as revealed in the latest trailer (see below). She's counting down the days to Spring Break when she can finally see Mike again in Hawkins, Indiana.
And in that strange town, often wedged between dark dimensions, a new enemy is coming. Netflix have said it's something 'buried' and 'connects everything'. We're thinking the Mind Flayer's involved...

Who's in the Stranger Things 4 cast?
David Harbour is returning as the apparently invincible Jim Hopper – but in what form? How did he survive? Is he in a different dimension?
Trailers confirm that our favourite monster-battling heroes are coming back. Stranger Things just wouldn't be the same without Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Max (Sadie Sink), Will (Noah Schnapp) and Joyce (Winona Ryder).
And Dr Sam Owens (Paul Reiser) will probably crop up again, given his appearance at the end of season three. We might also see the return of Martin Brenner (Matthew Modine), the evil scientist who experimented on Eleven in season one.

Is this the last season of Stranger Things?
In 2017, creators Ross and Matt Duffer told Vulture that Stranger Things would be 'a four-season thing and then out', with whispers of a potential fifth instalment. With all the demagorgons and Mind Flayers and Soviet soldiers, the 80s kids from Hawkins have endured plenty of dark terrors over the past three seasons. In the same interview, Ross Duffer said the kids are 'going to have to get the f*** out of this town! It's ridiculous!'
Ridiculous or not, Stranger Things 3 left us with some gaping questions that need to be answered.

But in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Ross Duffer doubled back and confirmed that season four 'won't be the end'. But how long will Stranger Things continue? Considering all the actors are shapeshifting into young adults, it's probable the series will end after season five. But we can still hope for more.
The internet will never stop talking about every possibility, not until season four is finally released. And probably after that too. Stranger Things is one of the most-watched shows on Netflix and has won over the world, even inspiring Secret Cinema to create a Stranger Things experience.
What's the Stranger Things 4 release date?
Like Ozark and Better Call Saul, Stranger Things 4 is being split into two parts. The first part will be available from Friday 27 May and the Part 2 will be available from Friday 1 July. Watch the new trailer below.
