Feel Britannia: Viv Groskop
SERIES: We ask writer and comedian Viv Groskop "What makes you feel emotional about Britain?"
With all the rhetoric and Big Ideas surrounding the general election, Culture Whisper wanted to collect some of the little things that spark emotions about Britain.
In anticipation of May 7, we asked our favourite figures in the arts to tell us what makes Britain feel like home.
Comedian and writer Viv Groskop:
"A gin and tonic in the sunshine on the terrace of Soho House. Coming out of Exit 1 at Piccadilly Circus tube. Doing Wonderwall at karaoke. Brushing toast crumbs off the Observer on a Sunday morning. Feeding the ducks at Teddington Lock."
Viv Groskop is a British journalist, writer, broadcaster and comedian. She has written for publications including The Guardian, Evening Standard, Vogue, The Observer.
