SERIES: We ask contemporary artist Peter Liversidge "What makes you feel emotional about Britain?"

With all the rhetoric and Big Ideas surrounding the general election, Culture Whisper wanted to collect some of the little things that spark emotions about Britain.

In anticipation of May 7, we asked our favourite figures in the arts to tell us what makes Britain feel like home.

Artist Peter Liversidge:

"Let England Shake by P.J.Harvey; anything involving comedian/satirist Chris Morris including The Day Today, Brass Eye, Four Lions; band The Fall, I never tire of their indifferent brilliance; Landing at Heathrow: walking in the Lincolnshire Wolds; fish pie; The Whitechapel Gallery; watching cricket with my sons; Yorkshire Pudding; Royal Festival Hal; Rhubarb crumble; Browns Pie Shop; handwritten notes in shop winders; cow Parsley."

Peter Liversidge is a contemporary artist. His latest exhibition, Notes on Protesting, is at the Whitechapel Gallery until 14 June.
