Circolombia, the acclaimed Colombian circus troupe, is returning to London this summer for the final leg of their stomach-dropping world tour. Bringing guts, grace and gusto to the Underbelly Festival at Southbank, this is certainly no ordinary circus; Circolombia are all about celebrating diversity and bringing new voices, dance and game-changing circus skills to live audiences.

Circolombia took Edinburgh Festival by storm last summer. Felicity Simpson's music – rap and reggaeton to be specific – sets the scene, pulling the action away from your average circus setting and plunging performers and audience alike into a Bogotá nightclub. This is a chance to witness thirteen performers showcase their world-class talent and deliver the kind of gravity-defying performance that will make you thankful for your seat below on terra firma.

The Underbelly Festival is celebrating its 10th birthday this summer and with it comes the pop-up’s biggest programme yet. The fun-loving line-up features exciting live acts in circus, comedy, cabaret and family entertainment. Most shows are short – just an hour long – and tickets are usually under £20, making the Underbelly Festival accessible and affordable. It’s well worth allowing time on your visit to soak up the atmosphere around the performance spaces (which you can also drop in and enjoy without seeing a show); with international street food, outdoor bars, fairy lights and music, this is an authentic festival experience right off the river Thames.
