Tristan & Yseult, The Globe 2017
Kneehigh Theatre's five-star triumph Tristan & Yseult comes to the Globe for summer 2017
The 2003 show that became a runaway hit for Emma Rice's Kneehigh Theatre comes to the globe for the Summer of Love.
Tristan & Yseult, written and directed by Rice, transported Kneehigh into the big league with a blaze of five stars. On the show's tenth anniversary tour yet more jubilant reviews hailed Tristan & Yseult as 'the kind of certified cult hit that no longer has an audience so much as fans, who come to relive their favourite moments'.
Fans and the uninitiated have another chance to see this riotous take on the Arthurian legend of a Cornish prince and his Irish princess, part of Rice's second and last season as artistic director. Combining live music, comedy and the most inventive of story-telling, it's a must-see for the family.
