Six musical: drive-In tour
Sassy sellout hit Six the musical has found an ingenious solution to Covid restrictions: the show is going on a drive-in tour of the UK
Live theatre is finally on the horizon... but not as you know it. Hit musical Six has found an ingenious way around the continued Covid-19 restrictions against live performance. The show is leaving the West End and embarking upon a drive-in tour of the UK.
Six, which usually runs in the West End's Arts Theatre, will staged as part the the summer season from Utilita Live From the Drive-In, which includes a stint in London from 8-12 September and 11 more venues across the UK throughout August. Audiences can watch the live singing and dancing from a designated space around their cars and big screens will ensure that social distancing doesn't impair your view of the action.
Giving a new perspective on Tudor history, Six gives Henry VIII's wives their own voice. The brainchild of Cambridge University students, Lucy Moss and Toby Marlow, the show garnered five-star reviews before having its professional debut in London in the autumn 2017r, touring the country then arriving on the West End to a fanfare of awards and five-star reviews.
Peppy pop songs (which have been streamed over 100 million times online) and a fresh feminist perspective make for an infectious and invigorating watch - just the sort of show to cheer you up after lockdown.
Tickets for Six the musical's drive-in tour go on sale from 8am on Thursday 2 July. Click here to book.
