Simon Stephens and Andrew Scott bring their superlative show Sea Wall back to London for just 14 performances

In just 30 minutes of stage time Simon Stephens' Sea Wall packs more of a punch than most plays quadruple the length.
The short-but-staggering play stunned audiences at the Bush Theatre in 2008 before touring to the NT Shed and Dublin Theatre Festival. Critics enthused about a 'sublime... masterfully wrought' experience and 'a spellbinding reminder of the power of story-telling in all its glorious simplicity'.
The show returns to London for just 14 performances as part of The Old Vic's bicentenary celebrations. Andrew Scott will once again play the part that Simon Stephens wrote specifically for him. In the ten years since Scott first disarmed and mesmerised in Sea Wall, the Olivier and BAFTA winning actor has cemented his position as one of our most remarkable talents, alternating between prime time dramas such as Sherlock and visionary contemporary theatre, such as Robert Icke's Hamlet.
This revival of Sea Wall is a welcome opportunity to experience the electrifying combination of Stephens' script and Scott's deft, detailed performance.
