The Colby Sisters of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at The Tricycle Theatre

If you, like us, are a little irritated by our society’s celebration of celebrities, we’ve found what we think you’ll enjoy The Colby Sisters of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at Kilburn’s Tricycle Theatre. Set in New York, it’s a black comedy that explores the disparity between five socialites’ public and private lives, showing that, though they present perfect public images, each is falling to pieces.

Adam Bock’s plays, generally darkly comic; centre around expositions of the roles in which we find ourselves –  work, family and sexuality. He generally play Off Broadway – a fact he is comfortable about – and has garnered critical acclaim including two nominations for Outstanding Off-Broadway Play. The director, Tripp Cullman, has collaborated with Bock on numerous occasions, which – we hope – shall ensure continued theatrical success.

The play's cast is terribly diverse - made up of socialite (and actress!) Isabelle Calthorpe; Claire Forlani, whose most recent film co-starred Gordon Ramsay, but seems to be equally famous for her looks; Charlotte Parry, who just finished The Importance of Being Earnest on BroadwayPatricia Potter, famous for Holby City ; and two young actresses, Alice Sanders and  Ronke Adekoluejo
