Rabbit Hole, Hampstead Theatre

After the runaway success of 2014's sellout production of Good People, which starred Imelda Staunton and went on to the West End, The Hampstead Theatre will revive another hit play by David Lindsay-Abaire.
The Rabbit Hole was a sensation when it premiered on Broadway in 2006, winning the Pulitzer Prize for best drama and earning star Cynthia Nixon a Tony. Nicole Kidman then produced and featured in a film version of the drama, which won a standing ovation at the 2010 Toronto Film Festival.
The London premiere of Rabbit Hole was due to be directed by Nigel Harman in autumn of 2014 at the Vaudeville theatre, but was postponed indefinitely in advance of opening night. Now, director Edward Hall brings the play at the Hampstead Theatre for January 2016.
Following a young married couple, Becca (played by Claire Skinner) and Howie (played by Tom Goodman-Hill), as they battle to come to terms with a devastating loss, it's not easy watching. But there's also much wit, warmth and tenderness in the love-story, as the couple rebuild their relationship and find hope in the wreckage of their perfect lives.
