Cracking live jazz, astounding acrobatics and top class clowning with a hipster aesthetic come to the South bank's London Wonderground festival this summer and sex up the Spiegeltent tent. With a grubby prohibition flavour the troupe of top class clowning acrobats are accompanied by the evocatively named Crusty Suitcase Band.
The first press night for Scotch and Soda was postponed due to a performer's injury, and upon seeing the show the biggest surprise is that such extreme feats can ever be achieved without calamity. The daring and talent will make your jaw-drop. But what's most enjoyable about Scotch and Soda is the bucket load of personality and charm that comes with the impressive stunts. Not only do the performers make trapezing, balancing and extreme see-sawing look easy, they make it infectiously fun. Highlights include a fist fight that get particularly feisty, live birds, and a very overloaded bicycle. Get ready to gasp, laugh and be merry: Scotch and Soda is jubilant summer night out.
