Along with the classic one-liners that spark from Wilde's script, stellar comedy actors buoy this production of The Importance of Being Earnest. David Suchet dons drag to play the formidable Lady Bracknell with plenty of spark in the first cross-dressing portrayal of the part to grace the West End stage. While the rest of former RSC director Adrian Noble's production has divided critics (some find it breezily fun, others lacklustre), praise for Suchet is unanimous.
