Nothing, Camden People's Theatre

Nothing has hit some kind of nerve with audiences in the UK this year. Following the National Student Drama Festival, where it won four awards for acting, writing and creative risk, it headed for huge success at the Edinburgh Fringe. Catch the play behind the hype during its brief appearance at Camden People’s Theatre in London.
The show is made up of intercutting monologues, and playwright Lulu Raczka has won great acclaim for the quality of the writing. These individuals speak of immediate, visceral encounters with violence in their everyday lives, and explore their psychological responses with honesty and insight.
Therefore what sounds from the title like abstract existentialism, turns into something much more immediate and driven completely by character. Thrillingly, the performers sit amongst the audience throughout, and the order of the monologues is not defined each night. We are greatly looking forward to an experience full of spontaneity and insight, one which will insist that we listen to these stories, and reflect upon our own world.
