Next Fall - Southwark Playhouse
Charlie Condou takes the lead in the Tony-nominated Next Fall at Southwark Playhouse, last performed on Broadway in 2010.
Charlie Condou takes the lead in Next Fall at Southwark Playhouse, last performed on Broadway where it was produced by Elton John and his partner David Furnish.
Next Fall tells the story of Adam and Luke’s unlikely five-year relationship. Luke ardently believes in God and Adam is an outright atheist, but after a tragic accident, Adam is the one left in need of guidance and support. Set in a hospital waiting room, the play tells the story of this odd couple through flashbacks and arguments between their parents and friends.
Having transferred from it’s debut to the Helen Hayes Theatre on Broadway, initially known as ‘The Little Theatre’, it is only fitting that Next Fall will grace Southwark’s Little stage at the end of September. Geoffrey Naufft’s comedy drama was nominated for Best Play at the 2010 Tony Awards and will be brought to the stage this time by James Quaife Productions and David Adkin.
