Gloria, Hampstead Theatre
Hampstead Theatre presents Branden Jacob-Jenkins’ Gloria, a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 2016
Gloria, Branden Jacob-Jenkins’ Pulitzer Prize finalist for drama in 2016 comes to Hampstead Theatre.
It's brought to the stage by award-winning director, Michael Longhurst, who specialises in new writing and conceptional takes on classic works, and who counts Constellations (Royal Court), Carmen Disruption (Almeida) and Amadeus (National Theatre) among his many successes.
Gloria takes an unfeigned look at office politics among ambitious and relentless editorial assistants working for a notorious Manhattan magazine. Striving to move up the corporate ladder, these employees are immobilized by coffee-runs and endless rows of identical cubicles… until inspiration comes knocking, that is.
Casting for productions will soon be announced.
Public Booking opens Monday 30 January 2017.
