All We Ever Wanted Was Everything, Bush Theatre

An eclectic mix of theatre and live concert, the fabulously-titled All We Ever Wanted Was Everything charts the highs and lows of two young people's lives over three decades, from 1997's Cool Britannia the Brexit Britain of 2018. It's bursting onto the Bush Theatre's stage after a raft of four- and five-star reviews for its second go-around at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

The show follows Leah and Chris. After a truly millennial upbringing featuring Girl Power, Harry Potter and high expectations for the their future happiness, they are feeling somewhat jaded by the reality of an adulthood of austerity, renting and avocados.

Over three decades the vibrant fusion of gig and threatre explores the legacy of previous generations and possibilities for the next. Luke Barnes's lively script is offset by original live music by James Frewer.

If the glowing reviews from Edinburgh are to be believed, you're in for an 'outrageously entertaining' evening, which chimes with the all too relatable frustrations of growing up.
