A fun-packed week of workshops, talks, classes and film screenings for kids of all ages comes to South Kensington's Institut Français
The beloved South Kensington Kids Festival returns to the Institut Français for its 20th year.
The festival will take over the Institut for a whole week. Enjoy a series of workshops, talks, and book signings with some of the most-loved children's illustrators and authors from both sides of the Channel.

Full of storytelling, live music, and some creative inspiration, the festival launch party will celebrate the work of Michael Morpurgo and French illustrator, François Place.

Live Drawing: Axel Scheffler and Aurélie Guillerey

The worlds of Gruffalo illustrator Axel Scheffler and French artist Aurélie Guillerey will collide at the festival this year. Spend an afternoon watching the drawing duo projected on a cinema screen, as their worlds mix on paper.

Quentin Blake will be seen delivering a talk about his enthusiasm for French literature. The champion of children's illustration has been a patron of the festival for 20 years.
