Buzz Aldrin in conversation with Brian Cox, Science Museum
One of the first two humans to set foot on the moon, Apollo 11 astronaut Buzz Aldrin comes to the Science Museum
Buzz Aldrin’s place in history is beyond question. On 21 July
1969, he became the second person to walk on the moon. Even today, he is one of
only twelve people to have done so. Although he’s now retired from NASA, space
travel remains his great passion, and his abiding hope is that we’ll be able to
reach Mars.
As part of the Science Museum’s ‘Cosmonauts’ exhibition, Aldrin joins the ever-popular Professor Brian Cox for a very special conversation on Sunday 28 February. Taking place in the museum’s IMAX theatre this is one for all the family. Aldrin is keen to inspire a new generation of galactic explorers, and has written several children’s books.
The event also includes a chance for audience questions so whether you’re curious about those first steps onto another world or the realities of life on board a space shuttle, this is one for you.
Tickets are on sale from 10 a.m. on Friday 12 February.
