Hampstead Arts Festival 2015
Head to Hampstead for talks and concerts at the annual art festival
Hampstead is an area long-associated with the arts; from
T.S. Eliot to Daphne du Maurier to Lucian Freud, it’s a natural home for the
creatively-minded. What better location, then, for a month-long programme of concerts
and talks?
The Hampstead Arts Festival 2015 runs throughout November with some big names on the bill. There are talks from twice Booker-nominated author Ali Smith, trailblazing human rights campaigner Shami Chakrabarti, and veteran music journalist Paul Morley.
Fans of chamber music also have reason to be excited. Five concerts are scheduled at St John’s Downshire Hill, with London debuts from violinist Shayaka Shoji and Berlin’s hotly-tipped Armida Quartet. If jazz is more your thing, then make sure to get tickets for Curios: Tom Cawley’s leftfield piano trio.
