Sebastian Faulks, Where my Heart Used to Beat book talk, Lutyens and Rubinstein

Birdsong author Sebastian Faulks discusses new novel in a London literary talk at Lutyens and Rubinstein bookshop.

Sebastian Faulks: book talk
Best-selling writer Sebastian Faulks discusses his latest novel in the intimacy of his local bookshop, Notting Hill's Lutyens and Rubinstein.
Most famous for Birdsong (1993), an unflinching look at the Great War, Faulks is one of the few contemporary authors able to combine literary quality with popular success. A passionate bookworm with an encyclopaedic knowledge of the historical contexts of his fiction, he is an engaging speaker. This literary talk offers readers a chance to hear about Faulks' new novel directly from the author.
Where my Heart Used To Beat (publication date 10 September 2015) draws on Faulks' trademark themes of broad, dramatic historical backdrops viewed through an intimate human narrative.
This latest novel stretches across the twentieth century, through war and romance to the swinging sixties, as an English doctor reveals his formative experience to a mysterious companion.
