Changing Britain Festival, Southbank Centre

Ray Davies, Billy Bragg, Routemaster buses and more feature in the Southbank's Changing Britain festival exploring the nation's history and culture before the 2015 General Election.

Cold War Missile Launcher, Hayward Gallery: History is Now
In the run-up to 7 May, London’s Changing Britain Festival takes a retrospective look over 70 years of the nation’s cultural and political history, offering an extensive range of events designed to inspire, inform and interrogate young voters on the pervasive issues surrounding the General Election.
Motivated by David Kynaston’s ongoing series Tales of a New Jerusalem, which looks to chronicle the social history of Great Britain from the end of the Second World War, the Festival offers concerts, exhibitions, talks and debates, encouraging a wide public participation into questions of where we’ve come from and, more poignantly, where we might be headed.
With so many events on offer, we strongly recommend a deeper look into what Changing Britain has in store for the coming months. Here's Culture Whisper's guide to the best events at the Southbank this spring.
